The faces of Remi

She looks scared of her toys.  This cracks me up!

These next three pictures are a progression.  This first one she is just chillin'- notice there is no headband or bow-but she is sporting some awesome argyle socks!

She is now wearing the headband and bow and is slightly unhappy.

Two months old!

Remi is two months old already!  It's hard to believe...time has passed so quickly for us.  She had her well-baby checkup today.  Dr. Emily was pleased with how well Remi is doing.  She now weighs 10 lbs. 4 oz. and is 23 inches long.  She is in the 25th percentile for weight and 78th percentile for height.  (On her last doctor visit, May 31st, she weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 21 inches long.) 

Remi also got her shots today and was not happy about it at all!  Neither was Mommy.  I couldn't watch and couldn't stand to see those sad tears and hear her painful cries.  Fortunately, she got over it pretty quickly, but I'm pretty sure she was looking at me and thinking, "Why did you let them do this to me?"

She likes:
*Having her hair brushed
*Baths
*Having her feet played with
*Daddy's silly faces and noises
*Being rocked
*Watching the movement and colors on tv
*Laying on Daddy's chest
*Cuddling with Mommy
*Her swing

She doesn't like:
*Getting dressed
*Her car seat/car rides
*The hours of 5 pm to midnight

A special visit

We got to see Rachael, Remi's birthmom, for a few minutes yesterday.  She is doing so well and we were very happy to see her!
