Three months old!

Remi is three months old!  Time sure does fly when you are having fun!

Likes:
*Holding her head up and looking around (for short periods)
*Trying to stand while burping
*Toys: especially ones that make noise, light up, or can be chewed on
*Being outside
*Talking (cooing)

Doesn't like:
*Being gassy and constipated (Unfortunately she gets very gassy in the evenings...just like Daddy!)

Such blessings

Many of you know that I am not teaching this year, and am staying home with Remi for as long as possible.  It has been such a blessing already!  We were also very happy to have Michael home with us most of the summer.  He is now back to school and we miss him a lot!  I am so grateful to be able to spend this time with Remi.  It also means I have lots of opportunities for pictures, so be sure to check out the next couple of posts too!

Two months old!

Remi is two months old already!  It's hard to believe...time has passed so quickly for us.  She had her well-baby checkup today.  Dr. Emily was pleased with how well Remi is doing.  She now weighs 10 lbs. 4 oz. and is 23 inches long.  She is in the 25th percentile for weight and 78th percentile for height.  (On her last doctor visit, May 31st, she weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 21 inches long.) 

Remi also got her shots today and was not happy about it at all!  Neither was Mommy.  I couldn't watch and couldn't stand to see those sad tears and hear her painful cries.  Fortunately, she got over it pretty quickly, but I'm pretty sure she was looking at me and thinking, "Why did you let them do this to me?"

She likes:
*Having her hair brushed
*Baths
*Having her feet played with
*Daddy's silly faces and noises
*Being rocked
*Watching the movement and colors on tv
*Laying on Daddy's chest
*Cuddling with Mommy
*Her swing

She doesn't like:
*Getting dressed
*Her car seat/car rides
*The hours of 5 pm to midnight

A special visit

We got to see Rachael, Remi's birthmom, for a few minutes yesterday.  She is doing so well and we were very happy to see her!
