Conversation with a 3 1/2 year old...
Brayden: Aunt Mandi, can you spend the night tonight?
Mandi: Where will I sleep?
Brayden: You can sleep in my bed with me.
Mandi: But where will Uncle Michael sleep?
Brayden: Umm... he can sleep with Mommy and Daddy.
Mandi: (Hysterical laughter) Sounds good to me!

Cookie Fun

Mandi and some friends learned how to roll, cut, bake, and decorate sugar cookies Tuesday night thanks to Shelby's mom, Patty. Patty is a professional...she is the Wabash County Jail Matron, so she knows what she's doing when it comes to food! It was loads of fun, but Patty said we were the most rebellious group she's ever taught. Really? I'm not sure I believe that considering she works with criminals every day, but whatever!

Random stuff

Kramer, during a recent snowstorm
Watching a 3D episode of Chuck (one of our favorite tv shows)

Where's Yohan? (Clue...he's the bump under the covers.)

Our picture for the new church directory

The beautiful quilt Mandi's mom made for the baby

P.S. We called our adoption agency last week and they said our scrapbook has been looked at a couple of times, but we haven't been the final choice for those birthmothers.

Brrr...It's cold out there

It's been very cold here and we've had plenty of snow. Michael had two days off school because of the below zero temps, but of course Mandi had to go anyway. Here's what he did to entertain himself. It's a good thing Michael had some time off because he's been on poop patrol. What is poop patrol? Well... Kramer swallowed a whole hambone inside a Ziploc baggie. We were afraid it might get stuck inside, but he seems to be fine. (No sign of baggie or bone!)

In case you are wondering, we have no adoption news to report. We will call our agency soon to see if anyone has looked at our scrapbook lately. Other than that, we are just "patiently" waiting for a call saying our baby is here!

I found these pictures of Michael when he was little and thought I would share.
What a cutie! Check out the suits Michael and David were wearing in the second picture. Hee hee.

Crean and Crimson

No bandwagon fans here. Mandi and her dad truly love the Hoosiers no matter what.

Merry Christmas!

This has certainly been a Christmas to remember. We started last Friday morning with an ice storm and a power outage that lasted until Monday afternoon. We tried spending the first night in the house with a fire going in the fireplace, but decided we weren't going to do that again. At the coldest point, our bedroom got down to 16 degrees! Unfortunately all of Michael's fish died and one of our pipes froze, but other than that, we were very lucky to have been able to stay at Tom's house for the weekend.

We also enjoyed spending Christmas with our families.

"Santa" Audrey.

"Rudolph" Dan.

Check out those socks on Brayden. (Go Hoosiers!)

Bryce... I mean Spiderman.

A gift for Michael.

This is a puzzle we had made from an old photo of Tom. He's #35.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Closer to Christmas

It is getting closer to Christmas. I sure hope I get a bone for a present. I had a fun day today. The neighbors' little beagle named Barney came over to my house to play for a while. We just ran around and chased each other all over the place. This last Sunday David was out hunting and shot a dog. I was a little worried that he might try and shoot me because I am also a dog. He then told me it was a coyote and that I have nothing to worry about.
Yesterday Michael and Mandi went to the Purdue vs. Ball State basketball game. That's right, Mandi went to a Purdue game. Michael says she wanted to watch a winning basketball team play. Purdue won 68-39.
