In case you were wondering...yes, we are still among the living! It was wonderful to spend time with our families during Christmas, but not much else has been happening. On the adoption front, we have just renewed all of our paperwork for our agencies again; that means fingerprints, background checks, physicals, and home study (over the phone, thank goodness) for the third time.
We have recently made a pretty big decision. We are going to become licensed for foster care, with the intention to adopt. There will be 20 hours of training, plus 10 hours of homework. The paperwork is overwhelming, and the process very daunting, but we are excited to try something new and different in order to complete our family.
Just to keep it all straight: 2 adoption agencies, 1 adoption lawyer, and licensed for foster care. Surely all of that brings us to our baby soon, right? Right?!?
